From vision to action: Rural Pact Conference highlights report now available
The report from this major Rural Pact stakeholder gathering held on 16-17 September 2025 in Pecq, Belgium, summarises the key outcomes of the event. The Conference brought together over 250 participants from 27 EU Member States and beyond to advance the EU rural vision and shape the next phase of the Rural Action Plan.

European Rural Parliament adopts the Declaration of Inverurie setting out rural priorities for the future

The initiative strengthens cooperation across Central and Eastern Europe to build knowledge-based, sustainable bioeconomies that drive innovation, resilience and growth in rural areas. Mobilising citizens for the energy transition: call for municipalities to host Citizen Energy Panels
Local and regional authorities across Europe are invited to take part in a new initiative to strengthen citizen participation in the energy transition. Apply by 30 January 2026 to host a Citizen Energy Panel – a one-day event where residents come together to discuss energy and climate challenges and co-develop practical local solutions.
